Engineering Art Show
HELLO.
Engineering is not narrow-minded, solely technical, and boring. It requires creativity, ingenuity, and novelty. Yet there are few avenues in which to show this to the outside world. Despite the pigeonholing, many of us spend time creating works and expressing ourselves, be it through writing, sculpting, sketching, poetry, painting, film, music, drama — ART. The 1st Engineering Art Show was curated by Tyler Heal and Fraser Mah back in 2012 as a way to provide an open space and welcoming environment in which to share our artistic expressions.

Now in its seventh year, the Engineering Art Show is looking forward to expand its scope. Now we seek to not only provide an avenue for artistic expression amongst the engineering students/staff at UofA, but also to expose the engineering faculty to different forms of art and creativity. It is our hope to foster an environment of cross-pollination of ideas and break down stereotypes of uni-dimensional engineers.
