The Engineering Art Show is proud to announce this year’s theme is Nova 2018 March 12 -29th. There is a duality in this theme’s meaning. From its Latin roots, ‘nova’ conveys newness while its astronomical meaning is a bright star previously unknown. Through the show, we hope to provide an avenue for you to share something new – to make known the creative side of you…

Thank you to the artists that submitted art for Nova 2018! Your art will be on display from March 12th-29th during the day. Art pick-up will take place at the end of the Closing Reception on March 29th (please see below).

Paint by Circle

• March 13 - March 15 -- (Engineering Teaching and Learning Complex) ETLC E2-100 Solarium East
   

• Join us in painting on pieces of a canvas to make a whole! Take a break between classes to unleash your creativity. We'll be at ETLC 11 am to 3 pm on Tuesday, March 13 to Thursday March 15!

The Open Mic Night - Nova 2018

• Friday, March 16 at 5:30 PM - 8 PM -- DONADEO Innovation Centre for Engineering (8A-292 Fred Pheasey Mezzzanine)
   

  • Come join us for a free night of creative performances in the form of singing, spoken poetry, and free food!

Bob Ross Paint Night

• Thursday, March 22 at 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM (Ticket required)
   

  • Let's get crazy and paint some happy little clouds with Bob Ross! 
    Tickets are $5, which includes your canvas and supplies (acrylic paint and paint brushes) and snacks!

Sculpey Night

• Friday, March 23 at 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM (Ticket required)
   

  • Challenge your creativity by transforming a piece of clay into a personalized work of art! Tickets are $5 and snacks are included!

Closing Reception
 

• Thursday, March 29th - The Faculty Club at 5:30-8:30 pm (Free)

  • The grand finale! Everyone is invited to spend an evening viewing art and live performances

  • Attendees will be treated to refreshments and good conversation with like-minded people

  • All art submitted to the show and created during the show will be returned at the end of the Reception
